Copycat Chick-fil-A Nuggets and Chick-fil-A sauce

I lOVE Chick-fil-A, so when I saw this copycat Chick-fil-A recipe for nuggets and sauce and knew I had to try it!

How to Make This:

Ingredients:

  • Ingredients for the chicken:

  • 20 oz Uncooked boneless skinless chicken breast

  • 1 cup Plain unsweetened almond milk

  • 1 cup Pickle Juice, Dill

  • 2⁄3 cup All-purpose flour

  • 1⁄4 cup Kroger Italian bread crumbs

  • 2 tsp Powdered sugar (confectioner's)

  • 2 large Eggs

  • 1 cup Chicken broth

  • 1⁄2 tsp Paprika

  • 1⁄4 tsp Granulated garlic

  • 1⁄4 tsp Table salt

  • 1/8 tsp Black pepper

  • For the sauce:

  • 1/4 cup light mayo

  • 1 Tbsp no sugar added BBQ sauce

  • 1 Tbsp honey mustard

  • splash of pickle juice.

Instructions:

  1. Cut up chicken into 1 inch pieces.

  2. Salt and pepper chicken.

  3. In a mixing bowl add pickle juice and 1 cup unsweetened almond milk and stir.

  4. Add in chicken and toss to coat.

  5. Cover with plastic wrap and let it marinate in the fridge for at least 30 minutes, or up to a couple hours.

  6. Drain the juice from the chicken and set aside.

  7. In a large bowl, add egg and 2 tsp unsweetened almond milk and whisk together.

  8. In large shallow dish, combine flour, breadcrumbs, powdered sugar, paprika and garlic powder.

  9. Stir well to combine.

  10. Add chicken to egg mixture and coat each piece of chicken with egg wash.

  11. Then evenly coat chicken pieces with flour mixture.

  12. Spray the air fryer basket or baking sheet with olive oil.

  13. Place coated chicken pieces into prepared air fryer or baking sheet.

  14. I cooked half of mine at a time.

  15. Air fry at 400 degrees for 10-12 minutes. T

  16. oss or flip the nuggets about half way through.

  17. For the sauce: combine 1/4 cup light mayo, 1 Tbsp no sugar added BBQ sauce, 1 Tbsp honey mustard and splash of pickle juice.

  18. Enjoy!
