Quick and Easy Homemade Marinara Sauce
This quick and easy tomato sauce comes together in minutes and is low in Weight Watcher points! I tried it as a pizza sauce in this video but it would work well as a pasta sauce or for anything you need a marinara sauce for!
How to Make This:
Ingredients:
28 oz can crushed tomatoes
1/3 cup chopped red onion (finely diced)
1 Tbsp tomato paste
2 tsp minced garlic (2 cloves)
1 Tbsp olive oil
1/2 tsp dried Oregano
1/2 tsp dried Basil
2 packets sugar substitute
1/2 tsp salt
pepper to taste
Instructions:
In a small pan, heat olive oil on medium heat, add in onions and cook until translucent.
Add in garlic, Oregano, Basil, salt and pepper and cook about a minute.
Add in tomato paste and cook another minute.
Add crushed tomatoes and sugar substitute, stir well.
Turn down heat to low and let simmer for 10-15 minutes.
Enjoy!
