Quick and Easy Homemade Marinara Sauce

This quick and easy tomato sauce comes together in minutes and is low in Weight Watcher points! I tried it as a pizza sauce in this video but it would work well as a pasta sauce or for anything you need a marinara sauce for!

How to Make This:

Ingredients:

  • 28 oz can crushed tomatoes

  • 1/3 cup chopped red onion (finely diced)

  • 1 Tbsp tomato paste

  • 2 tsp minced garlic (2 cloves)

  • 1 Tbsp olive oil

  • 1/2 tsp dried Oregano

  • 1/2 tsp dried Basil

  • 2 packets sugar substitute

  • 1/2 tsp salt

  • pepper to taste

Instructions:

  1. In a small pan, heat olive oil on medium heat, add in onions and cook until translucent.

  2. Add in garlic, Oregano, Basil, salt and pepper and cook about a minute.

  3. Add in tomato paste and cook another minute.

  4. Add crushed tomatoes and sugar substitute, stir well.

  5. Turn down heat to low and let simmer for 10-15 minutes.

  6. Enjoy!
