Easy Split Pea Soup /Dump & Go Slow Cooker Cozy Soup Recipe
This slow cooker split pea and ham soup is easy to make and low in points but filling and delicious! It takes just a few minutes of prep and then you just dump all the ingredients in, set it and forget it!
How to Make This:
Ingredients:
8 oz Hatfield Traditional ham steak
Hambone
16 oz Green split peas, rinsed
4 cups Fat free chicken broth
2 cups Water
1 large Uncooked sweet onion, chopped
1 cup Uncooked carrots, chopped
1 cup Uncooked celery, chopped
1 Tbsp Minced garlic
1⁄2 tsp Dried sage
1⁄2 tsp Dried thyme
1⁄2 tsp Dried rosemary
2 Bay leaves
Black pepper-to taste
Instructions:
Add all ingredients to your slow cooker, I used a 7 qt crockpot.
Cover and cook on LOW for 7-9 hours or until the peas are tender.
