Chicken and Sausage Spaghetti

Easy, high protein pasta dish!

How to Make This:

Ingredients:

  • 2 lbs cooked chicken breast, seasoned and chopped. I used chili powder and ground pepper.

  • 13 ounces turkey polska kielbasa sausage, chopped

  • 1 green pepper, chopped

  • 1 large red onion, chopped

  • 8 ounces chopped mushrooms

  • 28 ounce can diced tomatoes

  • 10 ounce can diced tomatoes with green chilies

  • 16 oz spaghetti, uncooked

  • 2-3 tsp minced garlic

  • 2 Tbsp olive oil

Instructions:

  1. Heat a large pot to medium/high.

  2. Add sausage, green pepper, onion, ground pepper and salt if desired. Cook until vegetables start to soften and sausage is heated through.

  3. Add in mushrooms and cook until they soften.

  4. Add garlic and cook about one minute.

  5. Stir in tomatoes, tomatoes and green chilies, and chicken (you can also add red pepper flakes at this point if you want a kick of spice) increase heat to high and bring mixture up to a boil.

  6. Once it reaches a boil, turn down heat to low and let simmer about 10 minutes.

  7. While it is simmering, cook your pasta till al dente, according to package.

  8. Once pasta is cooked, add to sauce and mix together.

  9. Enjoy!
