One Skillet Cheeseburger Pasta
This quick and easy one skillet meal is delicious and a hit with my kids!
How to Make This:
Ingredients:
1 pound lean ground turkey ( you can also use lean ground beef)
8 oz whole wheat pasta
3 cups fat free chicken broth
1 medium red onion, chopped
1 red bell pepper, chopped
1 1/2 cups shredded low fat cheese ( I used 40% fat free)
1 can diced tomatoes (14 1/2 oz)
1-2 Tbsp minced garlic
2 Tbsp mustard
2 Tbsp ketchup
1 Tbsp Worcestershire sauce
Pepper and salt to taste
Instructions:
Add turkey, bell pepper and onion to a large skillet, pepper and cook on med/high heat until turkey is browned.
Add garlic and cook an additional minute.
Add in tomatoes, mustard, ketchup and Worcestershire sauce and stir together.
Add in chicken broth and pasta, stir and let simmer for about 15-18 minutes or until pasta absorbs moisture and softens.
Stir occasionally while it is simmering.
Once pasta is softened, turn off heat and stir in cheese.
Garnish with green onions if you want.
Enjoy!
