Spiced Caramel Apple Crisp "Dump Cake" With Fresh Apples
I love doing these "dump cakes" because they are really simple but delicious desserts. I decided to do a twist on the apple version I do in the crock pot and came up with this one. It is kind of a cross between an apple pie, cobbler and crisp all in one. The fresh tart apples and spices pair really well with the sweet caramel and spicy cake mix! The combination of everything together make this a perfect Fall dessert!
How to Make This:
Ingredients:
6-7 cups Granny Smith apples, chopped (I used 8 small apples and got just over 7 cups)
1 tsp Ground cinnamon
1⁄2 tsp Ground nutmeg
1 pinch Ground cloves
1 pinch Table salt
1⁄4 cup Lakanto Monkfruit sweetener with erythritol, classic
1⁄4 cup Lakanto Monkfruit sweetener with erythritol, golden
4 Tbsp Smucker's Sugar free caramel sundae syrup
Betty Crocker Super Moist Cake Mix, Spice, Unprepared
1⁄2 cup Quaker Quick Oats 1 Minute oats, dry
8 Tbsp Brummel & Brown Spread Made with Yogurt, melted
Instructions:
Wash, peel, core and chop up apples into small pieces.
Add to large bowl and sprinkle them with the sugars, cinnamon, salt, nutmeg and cloves.
Toss the apples until well coated.
Pour the coated apples into a 9X13 baking dish sprayed with cooking spray.
Spread the apples evenly.
Pour caramel sauce over apples.
Mix cake mix, oatmeal and melted butter spread together until a crumble forms.
Pour over top of apples.
Bake at 350, uncovered, for 50-60 minutes or until the top is golden brown.
