Velveeta Taco Mac & Cheese
Easy cheesy taco mac and cheese!
How to Make This:
Ingredients:
16 oz Uncooked 93% lean ground turkey
8 oz Velveeta 2% Milk pasteurized prepared cheese product
2 cup Uncooked whole wheat pasta
1 cup Member's Mark Mild fresh cilantro salsa
2 3⁄4 cups Water
1 medium bell pepper, chopped
1 medium red onion
1 tsp Spice World Minced Garlic
1 Tbsp Taco seasoning mix
Instructions:
In a large skillet on medium-high heat, cook turkey, bell pepper and onion until turkey is browned and veggies are softened.
Add in garlic and cook another minute.
Add water, salsa and taco seasoning.
Stir and bring to boil.
Add in pasta, stir and let simmer, on low heat 8 to 10 min. or until pasta is softened.
Stir occasionally while it is simmering.
Add cubed Velveeta, stir in and cook 3 to 5 min. or until completely melted. I took mine off the heat and let it sit another 20 minutes to thicken up before serving.
